I really like mothering magazine.

I just read this article on not spanking your kids. Not that I needed the magazine to tell me not to, but it was nice to send along to my mom and mother in law, so they can get an idea of where we are coming from.

You know how you just know sometimes if you are going to like or not like someone when you see them or talk to them on the phone? (Do normal people do this, or just the judgemental jerks like me?) Well, I knew that I would like her, and I was so right.

She came to do pics of us yesterday. She is awesome, so fun and kind. I can't wait to see all of the pics. I almost didn't like the weather, but it decided to hold off on the rain until we finished.

Rain: Definite Don't Like.

The Baby and I went to our first playgroup. He was the youngest one there by years, but it was so cute to watch him watch the bigger kids (toddlers, so not that big, but still, to us? Huge!) play, and watch them interact and be sweet with him. I really liked that.

What I didn't like was schlepping him around in the rain. It's pouring out, which makes me worry for tomorrow's outdoor photo shoot, and it's not that easy to maneuver an umbrella and a baby carrier in a monsoon. But, not so bad in the grand scheme of life.

I'm hungry, which I do. not. like. Ever! My favorite lunch is Trader Joe's potato latkes, so, a new like and an old lunch are on the slate for today.

Like: Figuring out how to do things.

So, I figured out how to post pics. I like when I figure things out!
I also like winning ebay auctions. I just won one for a book called, "How To Photograph Your Baby". I hope it teaches me how to, I pretty much suck at it now.

Which is why I'm paying this lady http://www.kdphotography.org/ to do it. She's much better than I am. Maybe she read the book. I don't like that my kid's face is covered in a rash, just two days before the photo session, though. All the Aquaphor in the world ain't helping either.

I do like that kid, though. I told you - always!

One thing I hate, though. I can't get my kid to stay asleep. I do a nurse rock combo, which is really quite lovely, trust me. He falls asleep but when I lay him down - *ping*. His eyes pop open almost audibly. It's like a game. Only I really don't think either of us is enjoying it. Score one for the Don't Like Team tonight. :(

So likeable. Get it while you can!

This is my first attempt at blogging, but, I have a lot to say. I think my husband wishes I'd have a little less to say sometimes, so, maybe this blog will help him out.

He's a thing I like today, though, even though he tried to give me the business about a stupid popsicle stick I left on his nightstand last night. Dude, I'm milking myself with plastic clips holding the pumper against my boob, hooked to a very sexy nursing tank top while you drive the freaking MarioKart for your stupid Wii and you can't allow me the simple joy of an Edy's Coconut popsicle? Which, incidentally, is another thing I like. Not just today, either, but the whole time the weather's warm.

I was pumping the milk because my son spends Wednesdays with my mom while I'm at work. Two more things I like, one I don't so much - work. It's not that it sucks, but I'd rather be with my son. He's a recurring like theme here for sure.

I like to buy things for him, a lot. I like to do this at work. Today, I'm going to buy him these -
